Better for Less

Liam Maxwell has published “Better for Less” Most of the conclusions are well argued and they should be taken forward to influence public sector ICT policy.

What I do like are:

  • Goal: Lower cost technology delivery.
  • Guiding principles: Open, local, privacy, outcomes focussed, government controlled
  • Four workstreams: Audit, Identity, skills, Open Market
  • If I were a politician then I could understand the messages and provide leadership to make sure it happens.

If I were a CIO in central or local government, then I could adapt the messages to suit local conditions and service priorities
